Many homeowners don't realize that fall is an very important time for lawn and gardens. Even though the bright colors fade and winter is around the corner. Fall is a very important time of the year to get property ready for the next growing season.
Here are the 3 time and money saving tasks for your landscape to get done before winter hits:

1. Spring Clean Up In The Fall
Approach your fall landscape with spring clean up. If you take the time right now to schedule a few weeks to rake leaves, edge your beds, and cut down perennials it will be easier for you to get ready for spring. And you can get your mulch earlier down in spring for better control over weeds as growing seasons come up.

2. Taking care of weeds
Most people by fall feel like they can stop weeding. They leave early fall weeds and forget about them. Doing this leads to having more weeds next year. In fall, weeds have seeds and the seeds get spread out by wind and birds. The seeds just lay until spring hits, than boom! A bunch of new weeds. If you take the time to remove weeds with roots during fall, you will have a better chance of getting mulch down early and less wedding to do for the upcoming season.

3. Seeding
Spring is not the best season to seed or reseed your lawn, its actually a poor time to generate new grass. Why is that? Because the ground is cold and the plants are just coming out of winter dormancy, there slow to respond to fertilizing.
Fall is the best season for seeding and reseeding your lawn because the soil is all warmed up and responding to the rains - these both elements promote new growth. Start be racking your lawn hard to dethatch the dead grass that builded up during the season. Than apply some rich soil and fertilizer and rake in some fresh grass seeds. Once having that done make sure to water, that will ensure germination and growth.
